Strategy

Since 2005 the Faculty of Engineering has pursued an international strategy with three objectives:

  • Prepare engineering students for international careers
  • Ensure worldwide recognition of the educational system
  • Enrich the academic program

To reach these objectives, the faculty works on student and faculty mobility, joint research teams with international labs, and partnerships with internationally recognized institutions.

DD

Double Degree in Engineering (DD)

Two years of study abroad (five or six years in total), after which the student is awarded an Engineering degree from the Faculty of Engineering of the Lebanese University and a Master in Engineering (or equivalent) from the foreign university.

M2R

Master 2 in Research (M2R)

Access to the M2 level in a partner university: one year abroad (one semester of study + one research internship semester), five years in total, leading to an Engineering degree from the Lebanese University and a research Master from the university abroad. This may lead to a doctorate thesis.

Fifth-year students may also apply for a final-year project in any partner university.

How to apply

  1. Consult the partners list below: recruitment conditions, exchange program, deadlines.
  2. Seek academic information from the hosting institution's website.
  3. Contact the embassy of the country you are applying to (for France: create an account on campusfrance.org).
  4. Subscribe to the student-exchange application and choose three options (for M2R programs).
  5. Discuss your choice with the branch's mobility coordinator. A list of candidates is then sent to each partner institution.
  6. After approval, fill the application form and send the required documents to the hosting institution.
