How do I enroll in the Faculty of Engineering?

To enroll, a student must have successfully completed secondary school and sit for the faculty's entrance exam, held every summer (usually in July). Students who obtain an average of 12/20 in this exam are admitted.

Is everyone who scores 12/20 admitted, or is there a quota?

Everyone who reaches this average is admitted; there is no fixed number of admitted students.

Does the choice between General Sciences and Life Sciences affect eligibility?

A General Sciences baccalaureate is not required; it only helps, since its subjects resemble the entrance-exam material. A Life Sciences holder may equally apply; every student according to their abilities.

What is the registration fee for the entrance exam?

The fee is 35,000 LBP, paid at LibanPost after the student fills the registration form on the website of the branch where they wish to register.

After passing the entrance exam, what documents are required for enrollment?
  • A certified copy of the secondary-school certificate
  • 3 certified passport photos
  • A certified individual civil-registry extract
What language is instruction in?

Courses are taught in French and English. During the two common-core years, English-track and French-track students are taught separately; in the remaining years they study together in both languages.

What attachments are required to register for the entrance exam?
  • An individual civil-registry extract or a copy of the ID.
  • A certified copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate; General Sciences or Life Sciences (new system), Mathematics or Experimental Sciences (old system), or the technical baccalaureate in the specializations accepted by the faculty.
  • A baccalaureate candidacy document or a school attestation certified by the education department; final acceptance becomes official only after the baccalaureate is officially obtained.
  • Two photos certified by the local mukhtar.
  • The participation fee (35,000 LBP).
  • A 1,000 LBP fiscal stamp.
How much are the enrollment fees?

Enrollment is 245,000 LBP for Lebanese nationals, plus a 150,000 LBP social-security fee for students not already registered under a family member. For other nationalities, enrollment is 1,000,000 LBP.
